Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Surgery Scheduler Lead you will be a vital part of our patient care team, coordinating and organizing the entire surgery scheduling process. You'll leverage your expertise to ensure seamless operations for CommonSpirit and assist with training new and current Surgery Scheduler staff. This role is perfect for a meticulous individual with a strong foundation in medical office environments and medical/surgical terminology, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient experiences.

 

Every day you will manage surgical charts, secure insurance authorizations, and perform workflow audits across our clinics. You'll serve as a primary liaison between hospital departments, physician offices, and personnel, resolving any issues that arise. Your responsibilities will include preparing all necessary documentation, maintaining patient confidentiality, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes through innovative solutions and cost-control methods. Expect to uphold the highest ethical standards and hospital policies in all interactions.

 

To be successful in this role, you will bring excellent communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in computer use. You will demonstrate a keen ability to analyze data, coordinate tasks efficiently, and problem-solve creatively. Required

  • 5 years of experience in a medical office enviornment with knowledge of medical surgical terminology
