Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Memory Care Manager is accountable for managing resident Memory Care services/operations and to assure the safety of Mercy McMahon Terrace's memory care residents while delivering care consistent with the philosophy and standards of Mercy McMahon Terrace.

  • Hires, trains, schedules, evaluates and oversees work of Resident Care Aides.
  • Responsible for creating and implementing quality programs to engage memory care residents. Assures residents are engaged in a meaningful program respectful of individual needs.
  • Responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring facility processes and procedures to assure compliance with all appropriate regulatory and accrediting agencies. Works in collaboration with department managers and staff to implement and maintain processes for regulatory compliance. Maintains records, policy and procedure manuals for memory care. Maintains and audits files necessary for Department of Social Services compliance.
  • Observes changes in resident health; provides assistance and consultation to them and their families concerning ongoing health-related problems. Communicates regularly with family members.
  • Controls supply budget and orders supplies as needed.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with all other departments.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors Of Arts and 2 years experience in memory care, elder care and staff supervision, upon hire or
  • Bachelors Of Science or equivalent education/ experiencein a related field., upon hire and


Preferred

  • Masters Of Arts and Management in an RCFE environment., upon hire
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse: CA, upon hire or
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire
