Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

  • Performs all radiographic procedures with a sound understanding of anatomy, physiology, positioning and technical factors to produce quality diagnostic images
  • Assures that the proper examination is performed on the correct patient, and understands the clinical reason the exam is being performed
  • Demonstrates professional demeanor, ability to triage multiple requests and asks for assistance when appropriate
  • Coordinates workflow with medical center co-workers in a cooperative and collaborative manner
  • Demonstrates awareness of radiation safety principles, Joint Commission requirements, and all applicable Federal, State and local regulations
  • Gathers appropriate clinical information for the each examination, assuring that safe care is delivered

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of a JCERT accredited school of radiologic technology, upon hire and
  • Medical Radiographer: CA, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and (Must be through the American Heart Association)
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire and
  • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA, upon hire

Preferred

  • Two years acute care experience
