Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Professional Development Program Coordinator collaborates with the Nursing Directors, facility, market and Division leaders, and CommonSpirit Health National Nurse Residency Program Leadership to provide site-level leadership, coordination, oversight, development, evaluation and continuous program improvement for the nurse residency program and its outcomes. The Professional Development Program Coordinator provides support and collaborative oversight representing the nurse residency program at the facility. The program coordinator, in partnership with the nursing leadership, is responsible for maintaining standardization of the nurse residency program, achievement and maintenance of residency program accreditation, and ensures nurse residents are supported in their transition to practice, satisfied, and retained. Additionally, this role collaborates with the Educator RNs, Simulation Center Program Manager, Education Coordinator and Nursing Leaders to ensure house wide professional development programs are aligned and cohesive. This may include, but is not limited to, overseeing contracts for licensure and certification course offerings, developing CNA educational series, and coordinating clinical rotations.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors Of Science Nursing and Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse, upon hire
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical teaching experience, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Fire Safety, within 90 Days

Required

  • Masters Of Science Nursing, upon hire
