Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Groundskeeper, you will provide essential care and meticulous attention to our outdoor spaces, ensuring a well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and safe environment for all visitors.

Every day you will expertly perform landscaping duties, nurture plants and turf, maintain pathways and common areas, and meticulously manage irrigation systems, contributing to a welcoming and professional outdoor presentation.

  • Continuously upgrade skills to stay current with technology and workplace changes.
  • Proactively learn to operate new software and tools upon receipt.
  • Acquire and use resources efficiently while identifying opportunities for cost containment.
  • Maintain accurate records to support department operations and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Effectively convey information to hospital staff and keep users updated on equipment status.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage a project from start to finish, including accurate estimating and troubleshooting.
  • Perform essential grounds maintenance, including lawn care, pruning, and the safe handling of chemical fertilizers.
  • Oversee campus-wide sprinkler systems and manage snow/ice removal in designated areas.
  • Coordinate with other crafts and assist the Lead Technician in assigning duties to contract laborers and vendors.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School GED General Studies, upon hire or
  • High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire


Preferred

  • At least two (2) years experience in Horticulture.
