As our OR Coordinator, you will be responsible for the efficient and organized management of the operating room front desk, serving as a critical hub for operations. You will ensure seamless communication and logistics that directly support our surgical services.
Every day, you will manage operating room charges, meticulously schedule cases, and handle all communication duties related to the OR schedule and supply requisitions. You will also assist with inventory procurement, rectify invoices, and maintain optimal par levels for supplies. This role involves continuous interaction with staff, physicians, and physician offices to ensure patients are served in the most timely and efficient manner possible. You will produce and distribute reports and schedules as requested, and perform other tasks to ensure the OR runs efficiently, all while strictly complying with applicable standards of conduct and policies, and assisting in risk evaluation as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Your meticulous attention to detail in scheduling, inventory management, and charge entry, coupled with your commitment to compliance standards, will be critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the surgical department and optimal patient service.
