Founded in 1956, Dignity Health - Memorial Hospital is a 385-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Bakersfield, California. As a Central Services Representative, you will be a central figure responsible for the meticulous acquisition, inventory, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring clinical departments have necessary resources for optimal patient care. You will play a vital role in maintaining supply chain efficiency and supporting seamless clinical operations.
Every day, you will expertly receive, stock, and issue medical supplies and equipment, meticulously maintaining accurate inventory records, and preparing supply carts according to protocols. You will also monitor inventory, report discrepancies, collaborate with clinical staff and purchasing, and ensure strict adherence to storage guidelines and infection control practices.
To be successful in this role, you will combine exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail in inventory management, and a strong understanding of medical supply terminology. You will demonstrate a proactive approach to anticipating needs, excellent communication, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment providing crucial logistical support for high-quality patient care.
