Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Manager of Perioperative Services, you will provide comprehensive leadership and operational oversight for all perioperative phases, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient surgical care. Your role optimizes patient outcomes and staff performance.

Every day you will manage multidisciplinary teams, optimize surgical schedules, oversee resource allocation, and implement best practices to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency. You will also monitor financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

To be successful, you need extensive perioperative clinical/leadership experience, a deep understanding of surgical processes, and exceptional interpersonal/problem-solving skills. Your ability to inspire staff, manage challenges, and align services strategically will be paramount in fostering excellence and achieving superior surgical outcomes.

 

 

​Ideally the candidate should have previous PACU (Recovery Room) and/or Pre-op/Phase II experience in a tertiary level setting, or have held a previous leadership position in a Perioperative Services department that included the Peri-Anesthesia departments.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors Other in a healthcare-related field and graduation from an accredited school of nursing and minimum of six years of recent work experience in perioperative nursing that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities, upon hire and
  • three years in a supervisory or management capacity or
  • any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
