Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Perinatal Educator RN, you will help direct-care nursing personnel drive professional growth so they can achieve clinical excellence through evidence-based practice and knowledge integration.

 

Every day you will implement and support patient safety and quality of care initiatives, collaborating with leadership to address identified issues and facilitating educational programs. You will be expected to utilize diverse methodologies to identify and address educational needs, ensuring alignment with departmental challenges and contributing expertise to enhance patient care outcomes.

 

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate strong critical thinking, interpersonal savvy, and the ability to manage large, complex projects. You will possess a keen understanding of business operations and the human landscape to predict impact of strategies, along with proficiency in various software applications and experience working within a Patient Safety Organization. Your strong negotiation and facilitation skills will drive consensus among multidisciplinary teams, and your commitment to the mission will inspire excellence and belonging.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Three to five years of demonstrated clinical experience in Perinatal and Labor & Delivery Nursing
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the State of California 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • STABLE certification
  • Certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring
