As our Pre-Admit RN, you will provide professional nursing care, guided by the nursing process and your scope of practice, with demonstrated pre-operative clinical expertise. Your role is vital in ensuring comprehensive patient readiness for procedures.
Every day, you will deliver essential clinical services within the Pre-Admission Testing Unit, planning and coordinating care for peri-operative patients across diverse surgical specialties. This involves applying and interpreting hospital policies, overseeing readiness of supplies and equipment, and maintaining strong communication with surgical scheduling, surgeons, and ancillary staff. You will actively participate in patient preparation, assessment, education, and contribute to operational and budgetary objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional clinical expertise in pre-operative nursing, strong organizational and communication skills, and a meticulous attention to detail in patient assessment and coordination. Your ability to manage pre-operative patient needs efficiently, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to both clinical and operational goals will be essential for patient safety and optimal outcomes.
