Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Dietitian, you will provide expert nutrition care, developing and implementing individualized plans to improve patient health outcomes.

Every day you will clearly communicate nutritional data across all systems and participate in health team meetings as the resident nutrition expert.

To be successful in this role, you will integrate robust clinical expertise with empathetic, evidence-based care, consistently adhering to professional standards and fostering effective communication with patients and healthcare teams.

  • Completes patient nutritional assessment and establishes plan of care for patient's nutritional requirements; utilizes assessment and evaluation techniques that consider the varied needs of age-specific populations as well as cultural, religious, and ethnic concerns.
  • Documents assessment, plan, actions and patients' progress.
  • Develops, reviews, updates and implements educational materials to meet the needs of patients and clinical professionals. Serves as an expert resource and collaborates with the multi-disciplinary medical team on any nutrition-related matters.
  • Participate in care planning meetings, rounds, and test trays in the kitchen.
  • Patient/Customer Focus - Ensuring that the patient perspective is a driving force behind our actions and business decisions; crafting and implementing service practices that meet patients' and own organization's needs. (Focus also includes internal and external customers).
  • Technical Competence - Demonstrates breadth and/or depth of professional/technical skills and capabilities required for position; shares knowledge; sets or contributes to the Company's direction within area of expertise.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors Degree in relevant field
  • Registered Dietician or
  • Certified Dietary Manager or
  • Registered Dietitian ADA or
  • Registered Dietitian AND or
  • Registered Dietitian CDR


Preferred

  • Masters Degree in relevant field
  • Experience in acute care hospital
