Environmental Services Technician Lead Wknd

CHI Health St. Elizabeth, founded by the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration in 1889, is a full-service, 260-bed, nonprofit regional medical center in Lincoln, Neb. St. Elizabeth specializes in the treatment areas of newborn and pediatric care, women’s health, burn and wound, cardiology, oncology, emergency medicine, orthopedics and neuroscience.

As an Environmental Services Technician LEAD at CHI Health, you’ll join a team of EVS techs who prioritize the safety of our employees, patients, and visitors by ensuring a safe and sanitized environment for all.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to understand the importance of why and how we sanitize and disinfect different environments. You are in total control of your space- where process and supplies matter. You appreciate the cleanliness of our hospital, and it is a direct reflection of how we care for the people in our community.

We provide you with personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep you safe and while you’re providing that same level of safety to others.

What you will do:

• Requires self-discipline to perform work specifically assigned. 
• Requires a display of personal attitude, courtesy and appearance for others to look favorably on the institution (much contact with public).  
• Must be able to interpret written warnings as posted on doorways and chemicals.  
• Requires continuous contact with cleaning solutions.
• Requires a normal, responsive relationship indicating sensitivity to other people.
• Must maintain confidential any information accidentally gained in the process of working. 

What you’ll need:

High School Diploma/GED equivalent

Preferred:

1-3 years experience in Healthcare setting.
