Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Employee Health and Infection Prevention Coordinator, you will help our workforce and patients so they can remain healthy, safe, and protected from communicable diseases within our facility.

 

Every day you will conduct health screenings, perform infectious disease surveillance, and manage complex vaccination and testing programs. You will be expected to maintain rigorous compliance with CDC, OSHA, and state regulatory requirements while serving as a vital resource for evidence-based infection prevention practices.

 

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong analytical skills to identify and report health trends, possess the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and show a proactive commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment.

  • Develops, coordinates, implements and maintains an organizational infection prevention and control program that conforms to external regulatory requirements, and serves as an active member of the Safety Committee
  • Demonstrates the comprehensive integration of infection prevention and control into the TQM program and represents infection control on facility committees
  • Promotes organizational employee health and safety by facilitating an employee health program that promotes disease detection, prevention, and treatment; following up employee illnesses and injuries; conducting employee health screenings; and promoting a safe work environment

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse license from the State of California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association 

Preferred

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing
  • One (1) to three (3) years of recent acute care or long term care work experience
  • Infection Control Certification (CIC), within 24 months of hire
