Founded in 1910, Dignity Health - Mercy Hospital is a 229-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Bakersfield, California. Serving nearly 90,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including Level II NICU, cancer care, women’s health, and orthopedics. As our House Supervisor, you'll organize and oversee patient care delivery during an assigned shift. Monitor and assess current environment for smooth hospital operations.
Every day you will assess and allocate resources as needed. Provide input to employee performance and assist in the coaching of staff members.
To be successful in this role, you will document daily staffing and administrative records and maintain compliance with governmental policies and procedures. Presents documentation to senior staff and provide nursing care to patients on an as needed basis. Maintain communication to patient and family members regarding care needed.
