- Uses advanced knowledge, clinical practice experience, research, critical thinking, and transformational leadership skills to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to promote excellence and quality clinical care and outcomes.
- Serves as a consultant to healthcare professionals and consumers, within the healthcare system and in the community.
- Collaborates with and/or participates in division-wide clinical councils and committees and with peer to identify and facilitate educational and clinical needs of the healthcare team. Leads and participates in achieving nursing and clinical division and organization goals.
- Initiates and participates in new programs and innovations, including performance and quality improvement activities. Acts as change agent to lead and assist in strategy and innovation within nursing and clinical practice.
- Evaluates, communicates, and utilizes current evidence in practice, education, and consultation.
- Uses a process of needs assessment, education planning and design, program implementation and evaluation to develop comprehensive clinical education and staff development. Develops and demonstrates measurable program outcomes.
