Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Grant Program Manager, you will lead the design, implementation, and tracking of grant activities under the Director of Community Health, assisting funders in achieving public health initiatives. You will identify and implement significant operating efficiencies for optimal grant fund utilization, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team for program referrals.

Every day you will manage grant projects, focusing on improving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality of operations through project work, consultation, training, and reporting. Your expertise will be vital in navigating the complexities of grant program management.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a broad understanding of grant management principles, including organizational management, outcome measurement, and budgetary oversight, coupled with outstanding problem-solving skills and a strong background in managing complex projects within tight deadlines. You will also serve as the resident expert in your grant program, continuously updating your knowledge through education and networking.

  • Program strategy and funding oversight for each of the key Foundation strategic initiatives- Human Trafficking, Maternal Mood Disorder/ Post-Partum Depression, Concussion, etc.
  • Serves as the primary liaison to the Fund Program Officers and be the spokesperson to the Foundation’s key initiatives to increase funding support and partnership.
  • Researches comprehensive project opportunities that align with fund priorities and Dignity Health organizational strategies that have the opportunity to be replicated throughout the entire system or that scale best practices operating at a single facility.
  • Writes comprehensive letters of intent, grant proposals, project plans, and create multi-year budgets for corporate and foundation solicitations. Proposals must demonstrate a detailed understanding of clinical goals, capabilities, outcomes and evaluation metrics. Drafts agreements, review grant awards and oversee appropriate document preparation for corporate and foundation gifts.

  • Bachelors Other in a related field or a combination of education and/or additional job-related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree. , upon hire and
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in grant writing and fundraising in health care or a nonprofit organization with a record of success in securing grants from corporations and foundations
