As a Surgical Technologist in the Cardiac Cath Lab at St. Catherine Hospital, you will serve as a vital clinical partner to Interventional Cardiologists and Radiologists facilitating high-volume cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will function as a surgical techs managing the sterile field. You will be instrumental in maintaining clinical efficiency by optimizing surgeon preference cards and ensuring rapid room turnovers, while also demonstrating essential competency in high-acuity Code STEMI and Code Stroke alerts. By documenting intervention outcomes, supporting nursing functions, and providing patient education with a focus on service excellence, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional cardiac care as part of a collaborative, fast-paced, and on-call-capable interventional team.

As our Surgical Tech, you will work under the supervision of the surgeon and RN, bringing your certified expertise to keep the operating room organized, sterile, and ready for safe, efficient surgical procedures.
Every day, you will arrange and inventory sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical cases, passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed throughout the procedure. You will also assist in preparing and moving patients, along with sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment, and rooms between cases.
To be successful in this role, you will need current surgical technology certification, strong attention to detail, solid knowledge of sterile technique, and the ability to stay calm and communicate effectively as part of a fast-paced surgical team.

Schedule-40hrs/week-variable shift start time/ Day of week per surgical volume and current unit needs. TBD during interview with OR Manager
Call required- 1-2 weekday/night call shifts and 1x48hr weekend call shift per 4 week schedule.
