Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprising Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St Francis Hospital - Interquest. As our Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for accurately interpreting provider orders and prescriptions, then compounding and dispensing medications within strict regulatory and professional standards. You will ensure the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care.
Every day, you will consult with patients and other healthcare professionals regarding medication use and potential drug interactions, providing essential drug information as needed. You will also provide oversight and supervision to pharmacy technicians and supporting staff, effectively directing workflow and ensuring the timely completion of duties, contributing to overall pharmacy efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise in your area of practice. Your ability to accurately dispense medications, provide thorough patient counseling, offer valuable drug information, and effectively supervise staff will be critical in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services.
This is a PRN position (5 shifts scheduled in a 6-week period). This position is used to cover call-offs, vacations, and where coverage may be needed. PRN is not eligible for benefits but does offer a 15% differential on top of the base rate of pay.
