Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Staffing Coordinator, you will be responsible for optimizing staffing levels across departments, ensuring adequate coverage and operational efficiency.

Every day, you will schedule personnel, process staffing requests, manage call-outs, and communicate effectively with staff and management regarding assignments and availability.

To be successful, you will demonstrate strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail in scheduling, and excellent communication, crucial for maintaining optimal workforce deployment and service continuity.

  • Adheres to established Hospital/departmental policies and procedures, objectives, Quality Assessment and Improvement Program, legal, safety, environmental, infection control standards, and the Patient's Bill of Rights.
  • Provides adequate staffing of nursing personnel for all shifts based on pre-established schedules, staffing guidelines, and direction from the Department Director or designee.
  • Coordinates the staffing requirements of each unit based on immediate changes due to the need for replacement staff, patient acuity, and census under the direction of the Department Director or designee.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of organizational structure and utilizes appropriate channels of communication.
  • Requisitions supplies and equipment, maintenance and repair services, and prepares related forms. Maintains stock and equipment at predetermined PAR levels.
  • Establishes and maintains interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, and Hospital personnel, while maintaining confidentiality of patient information.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate, General Studies, and Previous staffing office experience, upon hire
  • Fire Safety, within 90 Days
