As a Certified Surgical Technologist at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, you will provide expert scrub support across a diverse surgical schedule, managing approximately 250–300+ cases per month within our 4 OR suites, and GI suite. Our department covers a wide range of services, including General, Orthopedics (Totals, Sports Medicine, and Trauma), GYN, C-Sections, and Podiatry, while serving all age groups excluding neonates to two-year-olds. In this role, all associates are fully cross-trained across all service lines to ensure operational flexibility. Daily responsibilities include providing intraoperative support by delivering additional sterile instruments and supplies, facilitating room turnovers, and restocking for the following day’s cases. You will also play an active role in departmental efficiency by maintaining and updating surgeon preference cards, all while serving as a dedicated advocate for the patient’s safety and well-being before, during, and after their procedure.

As our Certified Surgical Tech, you will work under the supervision of the surgeon and RN, bringing your certified expertise to keep the operating room organized, sterile, and ready for safe, efficient surgical procedures.
Every day, you will arrange and inventory sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical cases, passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed throughout the procedure. You will also assist in preparing and moving patients, along with sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment, and rooms between cases.
To be successful in this role, you will need current surgical technology certification, strong attention to detail, solid knowledge of sterile technique, and the ability to stay calm and communicate effectively as part of a fast-paced surgical team.
We are offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus in addition up to $10,000 relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
Schedule: 40hrs/week - Days- Variable shifts per surgical volume and current unit needs. TBD with unit manager during interviews.
Call is required for all FT employees. 4-6 Shifts per month- Call in rotation with OR team
