Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our CUMC-Bergan Neurosurgery clinic, you’ll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. You’ll take the lead on proactive preparation of patient charts; ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility.

Every day, you'll manage care for multiple patients, adapting to physician availability on-site, and actively collaborate with your clinical team to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless patient flow throughout the clinic.

  • Performs general nursing care to patients by following established clinic workflows and be able to complete all duties of LPN-Clinic.
  • Manage daily clinical and administrative support services for the assigned clinic under the supervision of the clinic manager.
  • Manage clinic inventory and organization of supplies and sample medications.
  • Manage lab operations, resulting and reporting, within the assigned clinic.
  • Develop and participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities.
  • Manage the resolution and implementation of decisions/improvements as requested.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Other Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing
  • Licensed Practical Nurse: NE
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • 3-5 years of practical nursing experience in a clinic or acute hospital setting
  • 1-2 years of lead/supervisory level experience strongly preferred
