Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Physical Therapist Assistant, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.

Every day you will provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment.

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.

  • Performs certain types of client tests and measurements as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Administers treatments as prescribed in the treatment plan. Evaluates effectiveness of treatment and reports to the Physical Therapist.Assists the Physical Therapist with written treatment programs based on evaluations, diagnosis and age-related policies.
  • Implements and assesses appropriate education per Plan of Care and under Physical Therapist delegation.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Oregon Physical Therapy Assistant License
  • AHA BLS within 30 Days

Preferred

  • Clinical experience in dealing with a broad base rehabilitation facility
