Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Manager, Nursing Professional Development, you will lead the strategic execution of nursing education, clinical onboarding, and competency programs to drive evidence-based practice and nursing excellence across the market. You will serve as a key organizational leader, ensuring all educational initiatives directly align with our clinical quality goals and patient safety standards.

Every day you will design and implement comprehensive curricula while ensuring rigorous compliance with regulatory bodies like The Joint Commission and DNV. You will also manage and mentor NPD specialists, evaluating the effectiveness of training programs to ensure they deliver measurable improvements in patient outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will bring proven expertise in nursing professional development and the leadership skills necessary to mentor clinical teams and collaborate with hospital administration. We are looking for a dedicated professional who excels at data-driven program evaluation and fostering a continuous culture of growth and clinical competence.

  • Ensure all competency assessment programs comply with internal policies, evidence-based practices, regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, DNV), and patient safety goals.
  • Collaborate effectively with regional and market leadership, hospital leadership, unit managers, and other stakeholders to integrate educational initiatives with strategic organizational priorities, quality improvement efforts, and patient care standards.
  • Ensure all professional development activities and educational programs adhere to relevant state, federal, and accreditation body requirements (e.g., ANCC Magnet/Pathway/PTAP, Joint Commission, State Boards of Nursing).
  • Oversee the assessment of nursing staff skills and competencies to identify knowledge gaps, ensuring proficiency and continuous development.
  • Regularly review performance metrics to assess the impact of educational interventions on patient care quality, safety outcomes, staff performance, and satisfaction.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Nursing Professional Development (NPD) specialists and other clinical educators, fostering their professional growth and development.

We are looking for one Manager to cover Greater Denver Market and one to cover Greater Colorado/Kansas.
