Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our HIM Specialist at CHI Williston Health, you will help clinical teams and hospital departments maintain the integrity, accuracy, and availability of patient health records so they can provide seamless, high-quality care and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Chart Auditing: Analyze medical records for clinical completeness, assign and track provider deficiencies, and ensure all processes meet strict HIPAA and regulatory standards.
  • Data Integrity & Troubleshooting: Proactively maintain the Master Patient Index (MPI) by investigating and resolving complex data discrepancies, such as duplicate or unlinked medical record numbers.
