Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Lab Supervisor, you will be a pivotal leader, directly contributing to the development of annual departmental goals, objectives, and budget, while actively facilitating their achievement and ensuring ongoing evaluation of results for continuous improvement.

 

Every day you will champion the needs of your patient care team, fostering their professional growth and development to help them reach their full potential, thereby aligning individual success with broader operational goals and objectives.

You possess exceptional communication skills, excelling in both individual coaching and group presentations. Furthermore, your ability to conduct challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy is crucial, as you are directly responsible for cultivating high performance within your team and ensuring the overall success of the laboratory.

 

  • Establish effective scheduling to ensure all standing commitments are met. Manages workflow and evaluates effectiveness of assignments
  • Provides high quality, effective clinical education services
  • Writes and obtains approval for any policies or standard operating procedures related to Clinical Education functions
  • Supervises clinical educators and ensures high quality education services. Develops staff and conducts performance reviews

Job Requirements

Required

  • Clinical Lab Scientist: CA (CLS:CA)
  • Bachelor's degree in biological or chemical sciences, as defined by CLIA
  • Minimum of five (5) years at a moderate or high complexity laboratory
  • Familiarity with financial management, Human Resources, Equipment Management, Quality Management, Physician Relations, Workflow Design are key skills to be successful

 

Preferred

 

  • One year experience as a supervisor or higher, preferred
