Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Resident Care Clerk is a member of the resident care team who is accountable for reception and support in Resident Care. The Resident Care Clerk is accountable for the day to day clerical duties in Resident Care. The Resident Care Clerk may also assist in resident care or other departmental duties as indicated in the unit specific structure standards.

  • Update and maintain schedules and listings including: central supply items, laundry, showers, LVN's resident listing, DNR/Durable Power of Attorney listing, Code Alert Listing, Home health Aide/Private Sitter listing, Resident Daily Tracking Sheet, Resident Care employee phone roster.
  • Appropriately destroy all out of date Resident Care Schedules.
  • Accurately update and maintain resident identification and emergency information.
  • Compile and process resident admission forms and paperwork.
  • Maintain Resident Care office in an organized manner.
  • Provide courteous and accurate information to residents and visitors.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Two years clerical experience or
  • any equivalent combination of education andexperience. and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire American Heart Association


Preferred

  • High School Graduate High school diploma or equivalent., upon hire
