As our Director of Clinic Operations for Cardiology, you will help our patients receive the highest standard of care, improve patient experiences and ensure the team delivers quality care. At the same time, you will advocate for your team by bringing any issues, requests, or new ideas from them to leadership.

Every day you will be responsible for leading, planning, directing, monitoring and improving the overall performance for assigned care centers to achieve excellence in the delivery of daily operations. You will engage staff and cultivate a care center culture that prioritizes humankindness and patient-centric care, be accountable for operational, financial, clinical, quality, and business development activities, and oversee the development of assigned care centers, regularly managing medical practice-wide development and improvement projects.

• In collaboration with Vice President, Executive Director, Provider Site leadership and area Hospital leadership, leads with the vision and creates a culture that reflects a patient care-focused environment. Takes ownership of and drives needed improvement in all aspects of operations, including care center productivity, patient satisfaction/experience, provider satisfaction/experience, hospital relations, community efforts and serves as the local representative for the assigned medical group. Directs care center management staff and employees and effectively manages ongoing operations in line with driving excellence in operations and patient care.
• Leads a culture of safety, including transparency in reporting and disclosure of incidents in a timely manner. Ensure care center meets any quality, safety, risk, compliance, privacy policy and procedures with appropriate correction, if needed. Promotes a proactive culture for reporting issues and concerns. Conducts required drills and/or trainings as directed by quality, risk, safety, emergency preparedness and compliance. Supports and executes any associated improvement or action plans.
• Responsible for financial management of the assigned cost centers' financial operation budgets. Ensures that patient care is achieved cost effectively. In conjunction with Vice President and Executive Director, develops the annual care center budget by forecasting visits and expenses. Monitors fiscal operations on an ongoing basis. Works with care center management to resolve problems and issues and reconcile discrepancies in monthly financial reports. Responsible for forecasts of assigned areas operational expenses. Monitors revenues (if appropriate), and expenses, and analyzes variances to determine corrective action as appropriate. Analyzes fiscal performance to identify strategies to maximize revenue generation while optimizing expenditure levels.
• Uses assigned performance metrics and other benchmarking tools to review performance on patient volumes, operational, financial, patient satisfaction, provider satisfaction, and patient safety standards. Develop actionable dashboards and management targets that align with community standards and the Mission, Vision, Values of the organization. Takes ownership of and appropriate action to improve operational performance of assigned areas.
• Collaborates with provider leadership with appropriate data and analytics to allow providers to effectively evaluate all aspects of the care center performance. Provides feedback to Vice President, Executive Director and medical group leadership on provider performance. Effectively resolves routine provider issues. Escalates complex and/or serious provider issues to Vice President, Executive Director and medical group leadership, as appropriate. When provider issues involve staff, collaborates with Human Resources.
• Determines care center management staff's workload priorities to enable timely completion of tasks. Plans, coordinates and effectively leads assigned care centers to meet patient care, administrative, operational, and support requirements. Prioritizes and allocates staff, space, equipment and other resources to optimize care center(s) service, including ensuring adequate coverage for standard and non-standard hours of operations. Ensures care center management staff and employees understand their defined scope of practice and are working in line with their defined scope.
  
  

Required

• Five (5) years of healthcare management experience. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead productive complex teams, which could include leaders of teams and teams located in various geographic locations. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage provider relations.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, healthcare administration or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Strong knowledge of business and management principles, budget control and accounting principles, including capital budgeting, cost accounting, professional and patient billing; and ability to apply these principles to a health care environment. Strong knowledge of or ability to learn the budgeting process, management reports, accounting, purchasing and patient billing systems.

• Previous Cardiovascular leadership experience strongly preferred
• Data-driven decision maker preferred
• Previous out-patient practice management experience preferred
• Previous management experience in a union environment preferred
• Prior managed care or integrated delivery systems experience preferred
• Master's degree in business, finance, healthcare administration or related field preferred
