Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis. 

  • Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others by use of available devices.
  • Educates patient, family and others, as appropriate, in regard to procedures the patient may be having. Provides the necessary documentation as appropriate.
  • Displays competency operating equipment and performing procedures in the department.
  • Performs clinical and registration duties as required.
  • Produces high quality radiographs and has a minimal retake percentage.
  • Practices good sterile technique when required and utilizes universal precautions and other infection control practices as appropriate.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of AMA approved school of radiologic technology and
  • One year experience as RadiologicTechnologist. Familiar with ACR, FDA and State of Arizona standards
  • Medical Radiographer: AZ
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
  • American Heart Association BLS


Preferred

  • One (1) year experience in anurgent care or emergency room setting.Experience with digital radiography andelectronic medical records.
