4th Year Resident Specialty - FM OB Fellow

As our 4th Year Specialty Resident / FM OB Fellow, you will perform professional medical duties while undergoing advanced training in Family Medicine with a focus on Obstetrics and Gynecology. This grant-funded role reports to the Family Practice Residency Program Director.



Every day you will engage in both educational and clinical activities, providing patient care, maintaining records, supporting trainees, and participating in resident selection, compliance, and quality assurance.



To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate dedication to advanced medical training, adaptability to demanding hours, empathy in patient care, and sound decision-making within delegated privileges, contributing to both clinical excellence and program integrity.

• Attendance at all rotations must conform to the goals and objectives of that rotation. Any absences must be excused in accordance with the procedures of the program.
• Rounds are a required part of the program and fellows are expected to consistently attend them.
• Fellows are expected to satisfactorily complete all obstetrical rotations.
• Fellows are expected to demonstrate competence appropriate to their level of training in the judgment of the faculty in the following areas: Management of patient care within the Mercy Family Health Center and Methodist Hospital, Mercy General Hospital, Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, and Mercy San Juan Hospital including management of primary care problems, management of obstetrics, health maintenance, and the appropriate use of supervisors, consultants and community resources.
• Fellows are expected to provide patient care in the outpatient and inpatient settings including obstetrical care, consistent with fellowship training curriculum, and credentialed privileges.

Required

• Must be a graduate of an Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education(ACGME) accredited Family Medicine Residency Program and is Board Eligible/Board Certified in Family Medicine, or
•  Accredited Osteopathic School, or
•  International medical school recognized to meet licensure requirements by the Medical Board of California.
• Basic Life Support - CPR through American Heart Association, and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 30 Days and
• Advanced Life Support Obstetrics Provider, within 60 Days
