Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Director Nursing Perioperative Services at Methodist Hospital, you will be a central figure providing strategic leadership and comprehensive operational oversight for all aspects of our operating rooms, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), pre-operative services, and sterile processing (SPD), ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care. You will play a vital role in optimizing patient outcomes and enhancing the overall surgical experience.

Every day, you will work with Sr. Leadership on strategy and key initiatives, and work with front-line leaders in Perioperative Services to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care in very fast paced environments. You will advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators in matters related to patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies. You will communicate the organization’s goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional care.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced leader, with a track record of success overseeing surgical services for an acute-care Hospital. You must be competent and confident, with excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups. Every interaction is an opportunity to share your knowledge with others and improve their understanding of a patient’s needs.

We are offering relocation assistance to all hires who meet relocation eligibility requirements.

Additional incentives for this position include an annual performance-based bonus program, annual employer-funded retirement contribution (no employee contribution required), no-cost medical coverage for the employee, and a Flexible Time Away program.
