Market Manager Emergency Preparedness

Following a major expansion, Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley's capacity tripled, now housing 171 beds to serve our growing community. As our Market Manager, Emergency Preparedness, you will plan, organize, and influence departmental activities and the delivery of Emergency Preparedness services, ensuring assigned facilities are ready for any internal or external disaster.

Every day you will demonstrate expertise in Emergency Management, provide support for HazMat events, and conduct staff education for all disaster types. You will also manage operations within budgetary parameters and have the ability to respond effectively to events ranging from minor departmental issues to community/statewide emergencies.

To be successful in this role, you will possess comprehensive knowledge and skills in Emergency Management, strong organizational and leadership abilities, and a proven capacity to plan, train, and execute effective disaster preparedness and response strategies while managing budgets.

• Responsible for the development, maintenance, coordination, and education of all aspects of the hospital emergency management program for the assigned facilities.
• Represents the hospital in all regulatory surveys involving emergency management and ensures that all regulatory requirements for EMP are met.
• Ensures that all staff is educated on the emergency management program and their department specific plans.
• Serves as a resource to administration, department managers, staff, and off-site personnel in the development of their department specific disaster plans and readiness.
• Represents the Hospital in all federal, state, and local committees dealing with emergency management issues.

Based at Holy Cross Hospital – Jordan Valley, this role provides oversight for four additional Holy Cross facilities as well as the Roy Freestanding ED.

Required

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Four (4) years of progressive responsibility in hospital operations or related field.
• Knowledge of TJC accreditation policies, practices, management and regulatory law.
• Must have a good understanding of Incident Command System, emergency planning, preparedness, response and recovery in regard to emergency management.
• Must have HazMat awareness and preparation training.
• Must be able to work with community organizations in educating citizens regarding emergency preparedness.
• Must have strong planning, program development, and program implementation skills.

Preferred

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing, Engineering, Behavioral Science, Business, Hospital Administration, or related field
