Mercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols.

To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.

• Prepares sterile procedure table, using sterile technique, with equipment, materials, and fluids necessary during procedure
• Assists the cardiologist as a scrub technician for all diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Monitors responsibilities, including but not limited to, patient electrocardiogram and hemodynamic monitoring, data collection, correlation and documentation. Informs medical and clinical staff of any changes in patient status
• Performs and maintains competency with all aspects of arterial and venous hemostasis, including manual compression. Informs medical and clinical staff immediately of any suspected bleeding, ecchymosis and/or hematoma formation
• Assists clinical staff with post-procedural patient care, monitoring, and transportation
• Monitors supplies used during a procedure to ensure appropriate patient billing for supplies and services

Required

• Graduate from an accredited school for Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology required, upon hire and
• 1-3 years One year Cath Lab Cardiovascular Techexperience in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab or Interventional Radiology experience which includes assisting (hemodynamic monitoring, scrubbing and circulating) in relevant diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath/peripheral procedures within the last year., upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and (Must be through the American Heart Association)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire (Must be through the American Heart Association)
