The leader serves as a member of the VMFH Leadership & Operations Team and provides significant input into decisions impacting objectives, KPIs and goals of both the assigned medical center and VMFH division-wide strategies.  Key performance metrics (KPIs) of the culture include employee satisfaction, medical staff satisfaction, patient experience scores and other organizational metrics.  Key expectations include the development of a patient-centered culture consistent within VMFH mission, vision and values.  An incumbent is expected to meet or exceed KPIs for goals related to: 1) patient quality and Leapfrog; 2) Patient Safety; 3) Patient experience; 4) sustainability of operations as measured by EBITDA margin percentage, as well as any other metrics provided by VMFH or CommonSpirit.  Key activities also include, but are not limited to:  1) improving and maintaining great relations with the medical staff, including Franciscan Medical Group (FMG) and independent physicians; 2) proactively developing, planning, directing and growing clinical programs; 3) evaluating and improving operations to ensure appropriate outcomes and attainment of key performance metrics and goals; 4) overseeing financial management of assigned medical center, including monitoring budgets, productivity measures and other internal controls to ensure defined targets and maximum performance measures are attained; 5) recommending/overseeing capital improvements such as upgrading medical center facilities, including construction/renovation of structures and purchase of new equipment; 6) partnering with service line and medical group leadership teams on growth and expansion initiatives; and 7) leading/implementing strategic plans, programs and projects to monitor, evaluate, integrate and improve overall medical center operations and quality of care in line with healthcare reform mandates and new organizational/delivery models.  Effective performance requires a high degree of professionalism and the ability to interact collaboratively and effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders to increase the growth, visibility and financial viability of the assigned hospital.  An incumbent exercises sound judgment, engenders positive relations, and projects a can-do attitude in leading action-oriented medical center management. Key contacts include VMFH and FMG Leadership teams, independent physician group leaders, community constituents, physicians and other healthcare professionals to gain acceptance of recommendations regarding new programs/systems/policies and financial/performance improvement opportunities.  An incumbent maintains close ties to all hospital departments, medical group stakeholders, and medical staff to ensure efficient, high quality, cost-effective and compliant operations, integration of operational/administration initiatives and achievement of key performance metrics.

- Works closely with Fairwarning MSP to ensure application administrative and support functions are performed to a high standard. Maintains monitoring controls, troubleshoots issues, and reviews utilization of the Fairwarning application by Junior Analysts and MSP staff to ensure timely review and resolution of all privacy events. - Provides Tier I and Tier II support to the CommonSpirit Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) and Information Governance (IG) Program. Monitors and resolves incidents involving confidential information within defined Service Level Agreements. Under guidance from Manager, CRP Information Security Oversight and Senior Analysts, conducts investigations and reports on inappropriate use of CommonSpirit confidential information. - Exercises judgment within defined practices and policies in engaging and providing guidance to end users, business teams and Division Information Security Officers and Division Privacy Officers regarding moderately to highly complex DLP and IG issues. - Prepares reports and metrics on key aspects of DLP and IG program including data in use, data in transit, and data at rest. Provides Manager, CRP Information Security Oversight with process improvements and program enhancements and, under direction, develops and documents new workflows. - Monitors and analyzes information from multiple applications/resources to identify information privacy and security risks and compliance gaps as related to the protection of confidential information. Prepares actionable recommendations and works with Cybersecurity, ITS, and business teams to remediate identified risks and ensure compliance with CommonSpirit policies and standards. - Works as an intermediary with Cybersecurity and ITS teams in identifying and prioritizing remediation of information security risks and compliance gaps.  - Under guidance of Manager CRP, Information Security Oversight and Senior Analysts, conducts privacy, information security reviews, and risk assessments/compliance reviews for major programs in coordination with ITS, Cybersecurity, and other functional groups. - Under guidance of Manager CRP, Information Security Oversight and Senior Analysts, performs assessments of current security technology, authentication systems, and data loss prevention tools and evaluates against HIPAA, Federal and State Information Protection and Privacy regulations, CommonSpirit Cybersecurity policies/standards, and other relevant regulations pertaining to the protection of confidential information.
