We offer full line of service on adult clients, except heart and lung transplant.   The CVOR surgeries include thoracic and vascular cases and are performed electively and emergently. With 2 dedicated open heart rooms and the option of a third room, the program has shown steady increase in its volume with plans to continually increase the volume.   Since CY '2007, the program averages over 300 open heart cases and around 350 cases yearly for Thoracic and Vascular combined. We are staffed with 3 team members per case including an RN, a Scrub Tech and a CV Monitoring Tech trained to second circulate in the room and is also highly competent in starting A-lines and IV'S, managing the balloon pump and blood gas, and assisting anesthesiologist on line placements. The team is very flexible and hardworking. All are willing to stagger work hours depending on time of case. We cover the hospital 24/7 with one CVOR call team.   Located in the City of Chandler, Az,  a suburb of Phoenix,  this position is critical to the success of Chandler Regional Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.   Dignity Health has made the conscious decision to implement solutions that will improve patient care outcomes and nursing competencies. Utilizes safeguards such as IV pump drug library and monitor alarms whenever available to maximize patient safety. - Initiates emergency support measures (i.e., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting patient from injury). - Utilizes hospital information system to process orders/data and retrieve patient information. Documents procedures in patient medical record.  Maintains knowledge of documentation requirements needed for patients' records.  Cath Lab RN: - Cares for patients during Cardiac Cath Lab procedures which include, but are not limited to, coronary angiography, PTCA, stents, pediatric and adult heart catheterizations, peripheral PTA, EPS, Ablation, PPM, ICD, Valvuloplasty, and laser procedures. - Maintains readiness of equipment in procedure rooms. Acquires supplies needed for procedures and passes to physician or assistant maintaining sterile technique. Assists in maintaining inventory control. - Transports patients to and from procedure rooms. - May apply manual pressure to puncture site to obtain hemostasis following procedure.
