Utilizes safeguards such as IV pump drug library and monitor alarms whenever available to maximize patient safety. - Initiates emergency support measures (i.e., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting patient from injury).   MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: - Serves in a charge/leadership role based on skill and unit needs.
