Job Summary This is a senior Environmental Services role in a facility where the scope is generally more than one hospital; a single hospital with more than 500 beds; a specialty care facility; an office facility exceeding 1M square feet or a combination thereof.  This job is responsible for planning, organizing and managing the operations of the Environmental Services function at a CHI Franciscan Health System (FS) hospital site (with inpatient and outpatient facilities) in accordance with strategic business objectives and applicable regulatory requirements.  Work includes 1) ensuring that all activities and services are legally compliant; 2) maintaining environmental sanitation (as well as visual cleanliness) of the assigned facilities; 3) developing/administering the operation and capital budgets for the facility; 4) participating in the development/implementation of consistent housekeeping standards/methods across facilities; and 5) ensuring that adequate staff are available to perform the work in a timely and effective manner.  An incumbent manages a staff of full- and part-time employees through the efforts of “Lead” workers or supervisors who oversee lower-level employees engaged in routine and specialty cleaning and environmental sanitation.  Work requires considerable technical knowledge of hospital housekeeping techniques as well as management procedures, techniques, methods and practices and their application to the function.  Also requires knowledge of safety, security, infection control and waste management standards and practices sufficient to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for hospital patients, staff and visitors.
