- Works with the division director of laboratory services, hospital lab directors, managers and supervisors to provide strategic innovation, to determine technology solutions and implement within the division. - Organizes technical advisory teams to develop and implement new tests collaboratively through standardizing policies, procedures, work instructions and forms using Policy STAT, Media Lab and other systems. Ensures revisions of discipline polices are communicated to all parties. Distributes regulatory updates and requirements for review of policies, procedures, work instructions and forms. - Promotes growth and development of TAC team members’ technical knowledge base across the division through the sharing of educational opportunities and assignment of other appropriate tasks. - Prepares and submits discipline related QA reports and as required by the individual hospitals according to established time schedules. When necessary work collaboratively with hospital and clinic leadership to improve patient care as it pertains to testing. - Identify regulatory/accreditation standards and work with the division director of the laboratory, lab directors, managers, supervisors and others as required to prepare for inspections and assist the labs through inspection or audit processes. - Assists all sites with training and on-going development of all analytical and preanalytical personnel including: new hires, existing testing personnel, students, certified testing assistants as well as laboratory assistants in order to meet established goals, and to minimize errors. - “Other duties as assigned by management.”
