This position provides specialized repair (radiology, nuclear medicine) and maintenance services to diagnostic imaging equipment and biomedical equipment.   ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - In addition to duties of Field Service Specialist II, performs repair and maintenance on “High Tech” imaging equipment, such as Cath Lab, MRI, Advanced CT Scanners, and PET units more than 75% of the time. - Utilizes training opportunities to significantly reduce contract dependency for the same equipment. - Employeefunctions as a leader in the Clinical Engineering department, providing oversight and assistance to FSS, for the efficient and cost effective repair and maintenance of imaging equipment. - Effectively handles all service emergencies and necessary communications with Vendor, Department, and Clinical Engineering Account Manager. - Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the servicing of Diagnostic Imaging and Biomedical equipment. - Is capable of providing coverage and support for Account Manager during manager’s absence. - Provides input to the Account Manager regarding new service opportunities within a location serviced by the Clinical Engineering Division. - Provides appropriate service cost history to the Account Manager with an emphasis on Contract Vs. Time and Material contrast for the continual reduction of service expense. - May also provide repair and maintenance of general biomedical equipment as secondary responsibility or as assigned.

Under the direction of the Practice Manager, the Financial Counselor (FC) is responsible for dealing with the financial review of the patients/patient representative.  The Financial Counselor will talk with patient/patient representatives, review applications for financial assistance, instruct patients/patient representatives of necessary documentation needed, and assist in making applicationse for affordable health insurance or other programs as needed.   - Maintains the patient’s privacy and confidentiality to hospital policy and HIPAA guidelines, - Keeps current financial and payer guidelines in order to assist patient/patient representative when needed. - Effectively reviews daily reports to determine appropriate action.  Review each inpatient account to ensure billing information is correct, interview with patient/patient representative to determine ability to pay, setting up pay plans according to established policies. - Answers patient/patient representative inquiry in a prompt and courteous manner to resolve issue and supply accurate information. - Updates financial and demographic information when new information is obtained, shares this information with all the necessary departments or  individuals. - Provides excellent customer service while interacting with patients who present with questions concerning accounts.  Works cooperatively with patient to secure payment in full or satisfactory payment arrangements. Helps those who cannot pay their debt with completion of a Financial Assistance Application.
